Durant Scores and More

Girls

Leesville: 71
Durant: 22
W.Millbrook: 15

This breaks the 3 week old school record for most points scored in school history. We had a large number of personal bests, capped off with  K. O'Boyle breaking the school record in the 800m. This win secures us the conference championship for this season. Excellent work ladies. Lets finish up the season undefeated with the a strong showing against Wake Forest-Rolesville on May 4.

Boys

Durant: 58
Leesville: 35
W. Millbrook: 14

We had an extremely strong showing today. Durant's coach said that we were the toughest competition they had faced all season, as it took till the final events to pull away. We had a large number of personal bests, capped off with D. Jenson breaking the school record in the 1600m. Excellent work, boys. We finish May 4 with Wake Forest-Rolesville.

Other News

- This Thursday is an EXTREMELY important practice, as it is the last major workout of the season. Unless you have previous soccer or swimming engagements, plan to be there. Mucho important.

- Team pictures on Monday, May 3rd. Wear your green leesville shirt.

- Spring Sports Banquet on Thursday, May 13th. $9 per person for the meal.  I highly encourage everyone to be there, as I have the opportunity to recognize all of the athletes, as well as a little something special that I have planned.

- High School Cross Country. As we wrap up this season, 8th graders need to turn thier attention to HS sports. The LRHS coach has summer workouts starting in June for all those who are interested in running in the Fall.
